2014年12月9日,，美國(guó)服裝及鞋類產(chǎn)品安全協(xié)會(huì)（AAFA）在孟加拉國(guó)首都達(dá)卡舉行的美國(guó)國(guó)際產(chǎn)品安全、工人安全及供應(yīng)鏈符合性會(huì)議上發(fā)布了最新受限物質(zhì)清單,，其中增加的受限化學(xué)物質(zhì)鄰苯二甲酸二異己酯,、氯化鎘、硼酸鈉,，硼酸及鈉鹽,、過(guò)硼酸鈉（無(wú)水）都涉及到紡織服裝、鞋,、旅行用品,、家用紡織品和其它時(shí)尚配件。另外清單中移除了六氯環(huán)己烷,，此類物質(zhì)可能對(duì)紡織品影響比較小,。
為了提高受限物質(zhì)清單（RSL）的功能性和實(shí)用性，AAFA創(chuàng)建了AAFA移動(dòng)客戶端供用戶免費(fèi)下載使用,。通過(guò)此客戶端用戶能對(duì)將近200種受限化學(xué)品進(jìn)行過(guò)濾,、查找和分類。
受限物質(zhì)清單（RSL）協(xié)助品牌,、零售商和制造商識(shí)別其產(chǎn)品可能含有的危害物質(zhì),，符合產(chǎn)品銷售市場(chǎng)的相關(guān)要求。以下為RSL具體更新情況：
